If they do the Mavericks will have a 2-0 series lead. One adjustment that the Thunder should make is getting the ball out of his hands. You do not want Dirk to beat you again. Make someone else on the Mavericks hit the shots. When Dirk gets the ball the Thunder needs to trap him right away. This will give them the best chance of stealing game two from the Mavericks.

Kevin Durant will need to have another great game if they hope to get a win. Russell Westbrook also needs to show up and play well. The Thunder cannot expect Durant to do it all for them. He needs some help, and if he does not get it the series will be a short one for the Thunder. Dallas has the talent to sweep the Thunder, so this is a game the Thunder need to play well and a win would be icing on the cake.

Orlando Try To Make It Two In A Row

With Game 5 tonight the Orlando Magic are looking for a repeat performance of Game 4. Will it happen? The odds are greatly against that happening for the Magic and their fans. Boston is very good on the road and have already won two games in Orlando. The Magic will need to have a few things go right for them to send the series back to Boston.

Jameer Nelson and Dwight Howard will need to have great games again if they have any chance at all. One guy who must step up big is Vince Carter. In Game 4 he had just 3 points in 30 minutes. He cannot play like that if Orlando wants to win Game 5. The bench for Orlando will need to play well also. J.J. Redick has played well and will need to continue that stellar play if Orlando wants a chance. The Celtics will come ready to play as they love closing out series on other teams floor. Look for Boston to try and end it tonight for Orlando.

Kobe Bryant Just Too Much For Suns

No matter how many injuries Kobe Bryant has it never seems to slow him down. Bryant had it going last night and when he does he is very tough to stop. Lamar Odom added 19 points and 19 rebounds for the Lakers as well.

Amare Stoudemire scored 23 points and Steve Nash had 13 points and 13 assists for the Suns, who hadn’t lost since April 24. Robin Lopez started at center and scored 14 points in his playoff debut. The Lakers were just too much for the Suns on this night. Everyone knows New Jersey is in running for the number one pick in the NBA Draft. What would happen if they got it. Many people think that they would take Kentucky's John Wall. Lebron James and John Wall are friends and that would be the perfect point guard for Lebron James to work with. Jay-z the rap mogul wants James to come to New Jersey as well and with a new owner with deep pockets it's a possibility.

As you can see the NBA Draft could actually have an impact on where Lebron James does play basketball. Given a chance to play with a point guard like John Wall or even Evan Turner maybe something James would not want to turn down. It's gotta be nice to be Lebron James and know you have so many possible choices. I guess in a few months we will see how it plays out, but many people will be watching the NBA draft as you never know what impact it could have on James and his decision.

Steve Nash Still Has Eye On The Prize

Steve Nash has heard all the stats he probably ever wants to hear. He probably can name you every league MVP who has not made it to the NBA Finals or won it all. It seems everyone keeps reminding him of it, and he just smiles about it. He knows he cannot stop the talk until he gets their and wins it all. Nash knows this is probably his best chance and he does not want to blow it.

Many people have the Lakers as big favorites, but the odds do not bug Steve Nash. No one expected much from him or his Suns in the playoffs. He knows that he will need to play almost perfect if the Suns want a chance to get to the NBA Finals. The way Steve Nash is playing it would not surprise me for him and his Suns to pull the upset. Now Orlando must stay focused and come out and get Game 3. For the Magics they must keep doing what they have done all season long and that is play good defense and hit three pointers when they present themselves.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Lebron James must do a few things different if they want to win this game. First they cannot give Orlando open looks if they want to win. If they do that it will be a very short series. Secondly, James needs some Cavalier players to step up if they hope to win Game three. Wade scored 41 points, Michael Beasley busted out of a slump with 22 points and 15 rebounds, and the Heat stayed alive by routing the Hawks 98-72 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference first-round series Friday night. The one thing that the Atlanta Hawks have found out about Dwayne Wade is no matter how many times you knock him down he will jump up again. Maybe sometimes not as fast as he would like to, but he will be back.

For Miami heat fans they are glad he is on their side. Wade reminds me of a lot of different players from the past, but not just one certain player. he has great skills, but most of all he is a leader and on a young team that is what you need. Wade has proven without a doubt he is an elite player and does not have to take a back seat to any one in the NBA.

NBA Scores

Monday, March 30th

Orlando 101 Final
Miami 95

Milwaukee 107 Final
New Jersey 78

New York 104 Final
Utah 112

Memphis 114 Final
Golden State 109

Villanova Shocks Pittsburgh

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Yq0KpB0bL1c/Sc9zSKrWihI/AAAAAAAABDA/HKqf3F3QOnE/s320/ncb_u_villanova2_576.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5318596440888871442" />

Scottie Reynolds made a half-court dash for a last-second basket to give Villanova 78-76 victory over Pittsburgh and send the Wildcats to their first Final Four since the 1985 team made its stunning run to the NCAA championship. The defensive effort by the Rockets on Lebron James was key to the victory as Yao Ming scored 28 points and Ron Artest added 15 while harassing James on defense most of the night. The Cavaliers also got some bad news as Ben Wallace broke his leg in the game and will be lost 4-6 weeks which is something the Cavaliers did not need.

Cleveland 74 Final
Houston 93

Phoenix 106 Final
LA Lakers 132

Recession Hits NBA As Well

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 50px; height: 50px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Yq0KpB0bL1c/SacFYgFC7FI/AAAAAAAAA1Y/5lro6MRLp-I/s320/0922081149_T_092208_penny2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307216604365515858" />

According to a Business journal the NBA is borrowing 175 million to help out teams who are struggling to make it through the year. because of the prolong recession many teams are struggling to fill arena's and when you do that losses will mount up very quickly. The NBA was able to strike a deal to borrow 175 million to finish the year out.

In seems 15 teams needed the help, but the teams who needed the money was not released. Detroit seen Rasheed Wallace get ejected as New Orleans beat them by a score of 90-87 and hand Detroit their eighth straight lost. David West scored 30 points while Chris Paul added 20 points and 13 assists in the win. Wallace will be suspended for his next game as he has reached too many technical fouls and by rules he must sit. Parker has been a very good player so far in her first season in the WNBA. She has really set the bar high and has drawn many great reviews.

The WNBA need many more players like Parker so they can drawn upon a wider audience than they have right now. Expectations were high for the Boston Celtics this year and so far so good.

Boston fans are use to a winner and it's been a long time since the Boston Celtics have field a winning basketball team. Getting this fast start will keep interest in the Celtics all winter long. Instead of looking forward to baseball season in the spring maybe a NBA championship maybe talked about instead.
