Lebron And Cavs Stopped In Houston

The Houston Rockets played some defense and LeBron James missed shots, complained to the refs and went an entire game without an assist for the first time in his career as the Rockets handed the Cavaliers a 93-74 loss one of the worst the Cavaliers have suffered this season. The defensive effort by the Rockets on Lebron James was key to the victory as Yao Ming scored 28 points and Ron Artest added 15 while harassing James on defense most of the night. The Cavaliers also got some bad news as Ben Wallace broke his leg in the game and will be lost 4-6 weeks which is something the Cavaliers did not need.

Recession Hits NBA As Well

According to a Business journal the NBA is borrowing 175 million to help out teams who are struggling to make it through the year. because of the prolong recession many teams are struggling to fill arena's and when you do that losses will mount up very quickly. The NBA was able to strike a deal to borrow 175 million to finish the year out.

In seems 15 teams needed the help, but the teams who needed the money was not released. I do not know if we will ever find out who the teams were or how much they needed, but it goes to prove the NBA and sports are not immune from the recession.

Detroit Pistons Lose Again As Wallace Gets Ejected

It seems that the Detroit Pistons are falling apart at the seams and unless they get their act together real soon they could make a fast exit from the playoffs if they even make it. Detroit seen Rasheed Wallace get ejected as New Orleans beat them by a score of 90-87 and hand Detroit their eighth straight lost. David West scored 30 points while Chris Paul added 20 points and 13 assists in the win. Wallace will be suspended for his next game as he has reached too many technical fouls and by rules he must sit. Allen Iverson hurt his back as well so right now the Pistons are in bad shape.
